Verses 262-263
Those who are envious, stingy and manipulative,
remain unappealing despite good looks
and eloquent speech.
But those who have freed themselves
from their faults
and arrived at wisdom
are attractive indeed.
Reflection
We need to remind ourselves that the way things
appear to be is not necessarily the way things 'are'.
If we listen from the heart to someone as they
speak, instead of listening only with our ears, we
will hear something quite different. When we view
others from a quiet, centred place deep within,
we see much more than that which our eyes see.
