A Question of Image
On occasion, I am asked "Why do you bow/kneel to a Buddha image or something that represents the Buddha when there is no God concept in Buddhism"?
Before I get here, it would be appropriate to elucidate my understanding of God and its place in Buddhism.

Make this the last time - Ajahn Brahm
My 60th year is 2011. Nevertheless, it feels like only yesterday that I was twenty, going out with girls, running around playing soccer, not really worried about my health. A lifetime passes very quickly indeed. It won't be long before I wake up and I'm seventy. This sort of reflection puts our lives in perspective.

A Northmead high school teacher had a surprise visit from the
walking Buddhist Monk on Wednesday.
Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School teacher
Warren Flanagan was teaching when he was informed through a letter he had a
visitor waiting for him in reception.
