Leadership Lessons from the Dalai Lama
By Drew Gannon Dec 6, 2011
The exiled spiritual leader of Tibet knows the importance of collaboration, performance, and productivity. Here we summarize key management tenets from his teachings--and tweets.
In September, the Dalai Lama, the 76-year-old exiled spiritual leader of Tibet, released a statement that addressed questions over his "reincarnation"—or succession—plans, and laid out a long-term “strategy” for his holy enterprise.

Yong Vui Kong: Third letter from death row - my changed heart
Sabahan Yong Vui Kong, 21, is on death row in Singapore for
drug trafficking. Malaysiakini is publishing Yong's final letters to Yetian, a
member of the Save Vui Kong Campaign, in the next few weeks as he faces death.
May 5, 11 9:53am
Yetian, I would like to tell you a story.
I have been worrying about someone for quite a long time. This person has a good nature. But when he was growing up he was led astray. He did not respect his parents and followed others to get involved with drugs. He was petty, bad-tempered, proud, vulgar and self-centred. He was very selfish.
But this person has now changed all his bad habits, all his bad acts. He is sincere about changing.

Monks’ titles are honorific
I HAVE often read in the media, The Star included, press statements or comments made by Buddhist monks with their titles such as Chief High Priest of Malaysia and Singapore, Chief Sangha Nayaka of Malaysia and Singapore, and Buddhist Chief Monk of Malaysia and Singapore.
