Akkosa Sutta: Insults (SN 7.2)
I have heard that on one occasion the Blessed One was staying near Rajagaha in the Bamboo Grove, the Squirrels' Sanctuary. Then the brahman Akkosaka Bharadvaja heard that a brahman of the Bharadvaja clan had gone forth from the home life into homelessness in the presence of the Blessed One. Angered & displeased, he went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, insulted & cursed him with rude, harsh words.

During the summer of 2013 a group of people got together to study an ancient language. By meditating, learning the proper pronunciation, studying the grammar, and understanding the meaning of the beautiful old words spoken by the Buddha, the two week pāli workshop passed by. Here is a mini documentary of our 2 weeks in an old wooded camp in misty, lovely Oregon. These 2 week pāli workshops are offered only to old students of Vipassana meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka.
